Emily Roggenburk Styled Session in Cleveland Heights, OH

Let me start off this entire post by saying that this was one of those shoots that made me really step back and take a look at the beauty in what I do. Of course, I see magic in every shoot; whether it's a headshot session with a new friend when they start to really loosen up + smile, or a wedding day that's filled with tiny moments of pure joy. But this one got me thinking about the power of art + creativity in a community. These things bind us all together; the people who are a little unconventional with those who have clear-cut mindsets, the dreamers with the doers, the introverts with the extroverts. We find each other, gravitating slowly and magnetically in the way that opposites usually do, only to find that we're all pretty similar in our mission to add color to our lives. This one was one of those sessions that made me love photography for its ability to capture that magnetic force between us all, and the talent that exists within my  hometown.

This chilly Should-Be-Spring-But-It's-40º-Outside day was brought to life by Emily Roggenburk's wonderful new clothing line and some incredible, badass ladies. Emily's line is all about women's empowerment and the models that came were absolutely perfect in illustrating the line and bringing it to life.
